The number of homes sold is about 100 homes lower compared to last year overall, and it is difficult to tell if this trend will continue into the winter months. Here are the current market statistics for the Greater Louisville, KY area as of 12/16/2007. Inventories continued to increase throughout November into December and sales dipped, leaving us with 9.5 months worth of homes available for sale. Here are statistics dating back two years for the Louisville, KY real estate market. It shows positive signs of consistency in price and days on market, but inventories remain high. Another positive sign is the number of homes sold in the area has remained constant. The market should continue to remain strong for quality homes in desirable locations, but higher inventories will force some sellers to make pricing concessions.
